Grant Instruments FTA-2i aspirator with 2L trap flask is designed for the removal of alcohol, buffer and liquid from reaction vessels eg during DNA / RNA purification and other macromolecule re-precipitation techniques.
The use of an aspirator is preferential to using a generic laboratory vacuum line as it restricts the possibility of contamination and can be used exactly where the operator is located.
Applications
Aspiration/removal of alcohol/buffer from tube walls during DNA/RNA purification and other macromolecule reprecipitation techniques.
Routine operations of cells washing from the culture medium and resuspension in buffer.

Solus Raw Meat FlowThrough™ Test (RMFT) range has been validated for the detection of adventitious contamination/adulteration of raw (uncooked) meat products at around a 1% level. The tests are simple and quick to perform and for ground/minced meats require no additional equipment. Their reliable results provide evidence for effective decision making.

Pressure-sensitive cup accommodates tubes up to 20mm diameter
Reliable and extremely quiet motor produces regulated and reproducible agitation throughout the speed range
Extremely easy to operate – select either ‘continuous' or ‘touch' operation and turn the knob to adjust the speed from 750 rpm to 3000 rpm
In ‘touch' mode, agitation starts in response to pressure on the pressure-sensitive cup.
Exceptionally compact with a low profile and small footprint – fits into almost any location
Rubber suction pads hold tight to the work surface and prevent the unit from ‘walking' – they also absorb vibration and prevent its transmission to the workbench
